Solera on City Water Problem

Hi all, well I had an opportunity this weekend to try my new 2013 Solera R on city water hook up. I had read previous postings on possible problems and solutions. Anyway on city water not a drop came out of the faucets. Not a problem when using onboard fresh and pump. As someone suggested I pried off the filler screen and depressed the white check valve. It was under pressure from using the pump. Once release the valve floated loosely. At home I tried my home connection. Still no work. So before I decide there is a problem with the filler check valve, am I missing something?

only thing I Can think of is the check valve ..........
You may want to try taking it out and see if this helps ?

Yes I think this is my next step, even though it is new it will help with diagnostic. Looks like my weekend project. Thanks for reply.

Sounds like Check valve may have been installed backwards.

Well, took it apart, made sure check valve functions perfectly. Still no water out of the faucets on city water. Unless there is a hidden switch/valve handle, that I am missing, I am stumped. I will probably wait for more problems before using the warranty.

Maybe take out check valve again at city water inlet and then pressurize system using on board water pump. See if water and debris comes out of city water inlet.

Thank you fonzie. That was a good suggestion. I removed valve and turned on pump. Water came out, and that was a good thing. I am now rethinking the check valve. After looking at how much it moves it appears that when on city water the flat white disk bottoms out on the connecting nipple. Looks like I have a check valve that checks in both directions!

Solved City Water Problem

Well I bought a new city water inlet and tested everything before firmly reattaching. Everything worked fine until I firmly pressed fixture into body and attached screws. Water stopped working again. Huh? Pulled out fixture and noticed the hose was kinking on itself. That was the real problem. Hose was too long and jammed in small place, so it kinked up closing off the water coming in. Solved!
