Can you post part number of bilsteens. Also can one do it easily yourself and are special tools needed. Finally if I do both sumo and shocks is there a certain order for install?

The rear Bilstein shock part number is 24-17702. I would recommend contacting them to verify current numbers as they might change.

No special tools needed. The shock replacement is very straight forward as long as you're OK with being on your back beneath the vehicle and having an assortment of metric wrenches.

Installing the Sumo springs requires that you jack up the vehicle by the frame, to increase the space between the rear axle and the frame, so you can slide the Sumos into place where the bump stops are located. I'd estimate you need about 2 additional inches of space to work with.

If you're not comfortable with this project, I'd suggest having a reputable auto repair shop do it for you. Can't imagine it taking them any more than 1 hour of shop time. It took me an hour and a half but I'm 68 years old with arthritic joints.

Best of luck whichever choice you make, but be assured that you'll be thoroughly pleased with these upgrades!

I am new to this also, and purchased a 2010 Solera a year ago. I drive it between 55-60 and I find it easy to drive - I have been in high winds and it does affect it. Looking into Hellwig, also. I expected an RV to have wind and tip simply due to the high profile and center of gravity. Still, I love the Solera.
