Solera won't start

After being parked for only 2 weeks after the annual vehicle inspection, it won't start. On shore power the entire time.

Turn on the key, all indicator lights on, then they all go out except the check engine light. (not listed in manual...)

No cranking, no noises, except maybe a click from an underseat relay.

Battery tested good. Retightened terminals. Cleaned the keyhole with contact cleaner. Tried the other key. Filled the DEF tank (which wasn't empty, btw)

I tried to shift out of park, and then return, in case it was an interlock issue, but it won't shift into neutral. Never noticed that. Is it normal to not be able to shift without the engine running?

Any ideas?

Previous threads have identified a fuse - #23, if I remember right - that should be 25 amp but was 20 amp on some vehicles. Fuse seems to last quite a while, then blow and cause no starter.

Good Luck!

Another WIN! for the FROG forum!

I checked fuse #23. Sure enough, it was blown. Replaced with a 25a, and it fired right up!

Thanks for the help!

Thanks, Jim. Lots of us will be buying extra fuses.

This happened to me as well. Called Mercedes Road service and they connected me with a service tech who told me about fuse issue.
