space behind entertainment center?

We selected the entertainment cabinets over the cab area instead of the bed on our new 2015 Solera 24R. When I opened the cabinets there was nothing behind the facade;only a big empty space. On our 2012 it had shelves(pull out ones)but nothing on the 2015.Is this the new design? Or did they miss building something on mine? Very disappointed?

2012 what? Pull out shelves were only on the right and left side of our front ent center. I don't recall us ever doing it in the middles the TV was always there.

With the new Sprinter front ENT, it has all changed since we moved the TV over to the corner for better viewing.

Pictures would be helpful.

Thank you for responding. Our 2015 24R arrived already. The dealer said that is typical for space behind cabinets in entertainment area. We will have custom shelves with pullouts installed. A note: on our 2012 solera M the TV was over the kitchen area and the whole buck area had cabinets with shelves and slideouts. Will make due ( miss the pantry though).

Our 24R was ordered with nothing installed above the cab. We are contracting with our favorite cabinetry craftsman to install custom cabinets with shelves and sliding drawers similar to our traded-in 24M. We have no use for a giant TV in that area and are going to install a 19" TV on a swing arm attached to the front side of the cabinet above the steps. We are currently trying to order cabinet doors and hardware from the factory for use in the custom design so that they will match the rest of the doors in the living area.

I love that area above the cab for storing extra bedding, a down comforter , large pillows to use when I convert the dinette into a bed to cuttle with wife while we watch tv
