Thank you. I have read capacity from others as well. Continue to try to learn as much real world as possible as we will, at times, be a couple of weeks boondocking (2 adults).

It reads as though you have already made your unit capable of connecting to an external additional tank? Simple as some others made it read?

I read this evening on an Onan website that the 3600 LP gen set that comes on the 2401 MBS consumes 3.1#s/hour. LP weighs ~4.2#s/gallon. The LP tank on the 2401 MBS is 9.8 gallons. Thus minimum gen time at full load is 13.27 hours (less other uses: fridge, stove, bbq....).

Thanks Beach Bums for the stats on the propane. Thats not much time is it. On my Jayco 32 foot it could last for days and days. Have to carry that extra tank for sure. Or not use the AC on propane.

Good luck with you choice and making it work. Personally I love the freedom of being off grid some. In Central Oregon we go off grid most weekends and find a great spot along a lake far from anyone else. Our dogs love the off leash situation and I do too.
