Towed Vehicle

What type of vehicle do you tow with your Solera and how does it do?

Thanks, Scott

We tow a Suzuki samurai and mo issues up or down the sierra nevada range in CA. Just use a low gear down hill and reduce the speed a tad more than usual.

Used it last weekend to tow with for the first time. I towed my 1987 Plymouth Relient Wagon to a Chrysler' car car show in PA. Used a tow dolly with no brakes with out any issues. Fuel economy seamed about 2 mpg off the 14-15mpg it normally gets without towing. Accelaration seamed fine and braking didn't feel much different then unloaded preformance...

We tow a 2010 Toyota Corolla with manual transmission. No electric brakes and no dolly. The weight is 2700 pounds and we hardly notice we are pulling something ! And yes, the MPG drops 2 MPG when towing but you save a fortune using the small car when camping !
