Tuner/power adder

Just bought a 2010 with 28000 miles. Has anyone installed a tuner or power adder for the diesel? Sprinterstore offers one. Tuning Module My 2010 likes to downshift when climbing a hill. I have a 2005 Dodge with a cummins and it also liked to downshift when climbing a hill. That was with a 4000lb trailer and about a 3000 lb car in it. With a Smarty JR it no longer downshifts pulling that weight. Just a good steady pull. Much more driveable pulling a load. That has to be much esier on the transmission. I'm not talking about towing the trailer here. Just want to climb a hill and not downshift.

I actually prefer an engine to downshift uphill as it pulls far better that way. Love passing all the cars and trucks when climbing :-) MB has found a very good compromise with the engine and transmission in my view. Good gas mileage and enough power even when towing.

Don't forget that the Cummins is twice the size and about double the power. The Solera weights about 11000lbs plus trailer. Even a power module won't be much help.
