Go camping escape the travails of life in the city. Leave behind the fumes and noises, get back to nature, enjoy a simpler life. And spend quality time adjusting the tv antenna. ;-)

Irene: Did your unit come with a Winegard Sensar antenna? If so, you may consider installing the Winegard Wingman attachment onto it... It will make the antenna more directional, but will improve reception quite a bit. An alternative is the "Jack" antenna, which is a little more complicated install, but gives great results. Winegard also makes a "Sensar Pro" tuning device which will help you zero in on available signals. I have installed the Wingman and the Sensar Pro and find both are quite effective for over-the-air reception. Of course, you could also search for campgrounds that have cable connections!!

why would you need a new tv antenna, for Direct TV. they require a satellite dish, not an antenna.
and the antenna your RV came with, is capable of getting tv reception.

and are you talking about over-the-air tv antenna reception, tv cable reception or tv satellite reception?
