Use of toilet in freezing temps
We have just spent two weeks at our daughters place in NM. 8000' elevation. 5 degrees at night. Water system was winterized. However we used the toilet and after dumping, added ½ gallon of antifreeze. Each time we "flushed" we poured in a little water. When we went to dump the tanks, they were frozen.
Should I be using antifreeze to flush? Artic pack was turned on.
Does anyone have experience with this?
By the way, used portable electric heater set at 65 degrees and propane furnace set at 60 degrees. No problem keeping temp comfortable. Used 2.2 gallons of propane in a two week period. Very happy with the performance.
