Warning! Falling Glass!

On vacation at the Gila Wilderness in New Mexico. Last night we were brushing teeth, the medicine cabinet was open, and suddenly the mirror fell out of the medicine cabinet door and shattered all over the floor. Thankfully we were not hurt. Closer examination showed that the sealant did not adhere to the wood in about 90% of the frame.

You should examine your mirror to be sure that it doesn't happen to you.

As an aside, does anyone know if we should order a replacement from Forest River, or is there another source for the mirror?

Use framing tacks as well. (diamond shaped metal pegs/staple)

There is a google video on how to remove hot melt adhesive...basically alcohol, which is in most cleaning sprays.

So use framing tacks to secure, glue to keep things from rattling. We started doing the same thing here, just to be safe.

For the glue, DH recommends Mirror Mastic or Ultra Bond, both come in a calk tube. He uses these to mount mirrors on walls, ceilings, etc. Don't use liquid nail he says. I personally would also use the framing tacks as suggested above.
