water filter mod

Here are some pictures of a mod on the water filter under the bed of a 13 Solera 24S. Hope it helps.

Did you just remove the canister so you didn't have to deal with it during winterize procedure.

Yes that what I want to do. It's hard to work on because it's sitting in tiny hole and under the bed. I will use outside filter.

That's why I changed it over because too hard to get into under the bed. Every time I went to remove the filter I'd get water all over trying to get it out.

Mission accomplished. There is no more filter under the bed.

GOOD, just make sure the new fitting is tight, I didn't get my tight enough at first and got a little bit of water leakage. And of course we were out on a trip and I didn't have a wrench with me at the time. So we went without water the first night. Bummer!

You are so right about that. It would be leaking in the worse possible place. I was going to reduce fresh water to 1/4 tank any way, so I let it pump through a few minutes just to be sure.
