Windshield Privacy Shade?
Hi:
I'm a n00b on this forum. My wife and I are looking hard at a 24R to replace our 5er. We were looking at the Navions, but decided the Solera better meets our needs.
But we did like the pull-out privacy shades on the windshield, passenger, and driver's windows in the Navion. Has anyone come up with a neat solution to this for the Solera? Now that the seats swivel it would be nice not to cut off the front cab from the rest of the living space with the curtain from the top bunk.
TIA,
Greg

I ordered this windshield cover. It works great for privacy and protects against the Heat of the sun. It is magnetic and slide over the door tops for added security.

We went with the same windshield cover. Easy on, easy off.

I actually ordered it without mirror, because I forgot about the real-view camera monitor. However, I just cut a small slit, and it fits flawlessly and is not tearing at all.

I also have the shades that homeonwheels has (with mirror). I like them because they set up from inside the rig (no worries if it's raining). They also make the inside feel bigger because the cab isn't cut off from the rig with a curtain.

I would say, yes. You will not be disappointed - the quality is very good, and as others have said, they are a snap to put on/off.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Another vote for the High End Motorsports interior ones. I have the rearview mirror cutout version (that the backup camera LCD needs). They roll up nicely and stay rolled with an attached velcro strap, and stow up top over the cab, behind the flipped over bed nicely. They're well made and look like they'll hold up for a long while.

We got the interior reflective shades for the Sprinter. After a year of use I think we made the right choice. We can put them up quickly from inside, and choose which windows to cover. Sometimes we only use one or two and leave the other off if privacy on that side isn't an issue and we want the extra view or light source.

Mr
Here is the place I ordered from: High-End Motorsports Automotive Parts and Accessories
Front windshield fit is great as are the side panels. Listing for Mercedes: Mercedes-Benz
Great people to work with, they sent the side panels for my 2013 24S but they had been packaged wrong at the factory. He sent me the right panels at no cost and second day air. Plus they said to keep the panels that were wrong. So great place to deal with.
Cost for the set $66.90. Not a bad price.
