323QBS - two grey tanks

Hi. We just purchased a 2017 Vibe 323qbs. Could someone explain the grey water tanks to me please? The one tank seems to fill up but the other tank stays empty. What is the second tank for?

Does if have two tanks? I have owned 3-4 campers where the control panel shows 2 tanks when in fact the unit only has one. The second always shows empty on the panel. (That way the only have to purchase one control panel.)

Some units do have 2 grey tanks. One would be shower the other kitchen sink.

Oh ok. I guess it only has one then because we've been using the kitchen sink and the shower and only one is filling up? How would I find out for sure whether mine has two tanks? Everything on the bottom of my camper is covered with a sheet of plastic and not exposed.. I can't seem to find a maintenance manual for my exact camper all these Owner Manuals are just generic

because your bathroom and kitchen are close and the specs show only a 32 gallon capacity I think I am probably right? Dont know for sure. The only way to know for sure would be to empty tanks then run water down one or the other.

I have friends with a rear kitchen 5th wheel and they have two drain points. One is for the bath and black, then they pull forward and drain one at the back of coach for kitchen sink.

If you only have one pull handle for black and one pull handle for grey I would think you only have one tank? But I just saw the other day that a 5th wheel crusader with a 70 gallon capacity had two 35 gallon tanks.

Arrow

it may be for your outside sink, since it is in the bunk slide -
do you have an additional sewer outlet on the passenger side under the slide area?
I think you may have a 40gal and a 32gal, the brochure is a little vague, but it only shows a 32 gal for this floorplan, while the sister 313BHS plan has a 72gal gray tank(?)... I doubt any RV has a 72 gallon gray tank!

I have to say that it looks like you got a poor PDI, from the dealer.
Explaining where the tank valves are and which are which, is a basic part of a good PDI.

The outside sink drains directly onto the ground. That is what the dealer said. And I read the specs online and it says only 1 tank. Does that sound right?

That doesn't sound right at all most camp grounds don't let you dump your grey water around here. But it could be was really interested in the camper you bought but no local dealer has one for us to look at. And really don't want to give up the 2nd entry door. I know that we were told that our tanks had a crossover pipe that connected them so tank one would fill up and then tank 2 wrong the bathtub flooded with tank 2 still empty. So I was pissed and spent some time figuring out my tank situation. My results were everything in the camper besides the outdoor kitchen is on tank 1 that holds right at about 30 gals. Tank 2 only catches our outdoor kitchen and it has a 20 gal cap. The easiest way to know for sure what is what is to simply fill each sink and tub with water and see where it comes out and then you can repeat the process to see which tank they're filling up. Our TT has 1 dump location with all 3 tied into it outside so I assume yours is the same way since your camper is pretty much the exact layout as ours plus 1 side and minus 1 door. Good luck hope that helps resolve you question.

That's pure unadulterated hogwash. I know of no campground, private or Government owned, that permit the arbitrary dumping of waste water on the ground. They have sewer connections and dump stations for those purposes. If a dealer told you that it speaks volumes about their character.

tanks

My Heritage Glen Ultra Lite has two gray tanks. My bathroom is in middle of trailer and the gray tank under it received drain from vanity sink and shower. The other tank is near the rear end and takes gray water from kitchen sink. I have monitors for both.

I have an older 831FKSS Flagstaff. It has 2 grey tanks, but only 1 dump valve. Not quite sure how they are hooked up, but the seem to fill independently, but both empty thru the one valve. I haven't had to take the bottom down yet. Ed

On my Primetime 3505, I have two gray tanks for a total of 90 gal. One is for the kitchen sink and the other is for the bathroom/shower and a washer/dryer
(rig was pre-plumbed) which we do not have nor miss.

I have a 250BHS Vibe and I have 2 grey tanks. One is for the inside kitchen and the other is for the shower/bathroom. One valve is in front of my tires (kitchen tank) and the other is in the back with my black water valve. It's actually really convenient havig 2 so they don't fill up as fast.

I have an outside sink. This has a separate tank. I have a separate valve outside for drainage for this tank. The panel showing the level of the grey water only shows one tank.

I have a. 2016 22rbs with two Grey tanks. Look in front of the wheels for a single gate drain. The rear drain has a black and grey gate. On mine the single one is the kitchen sink.
