Antenna adjustments

Would you please let me know if the antenna on my 2015 Vibe 268RKS has a switch somewhere that makes it go up & where it is located? Also, how do you adjust the direction antenna- manually while standing on a ladder? Thanks very much!

What antenna are you talking about, tv or radio?

If you're talking about the TV antenna, and you have the standard one most of us get, you should have crank and ring that looks like this on your ceiling right below where the antenna is mounted on your roof:

Turning the crank clockwise as you're looking up at it will raise the antenna and counter clockwise will lower it. Once it's up, you grab the ring, pull it down slightly, and rotate it to the desired direction you want. When you let go, the ring should go back up and lock the antenna in that position. NOTE that the ring has an arrow molded onto one spot and the base has a similar arrow. You will need to line them up together so the antenna is in the correct direction before you lower the antenna.

Note also that where your TV cable plugs into the plate on the wall, there should be a green or red LED lit up. There's a VERY small switch on the plate that turns the LED on and off. ON means the amplifier is on. OFF means the amplifier is off.

I can see a rooftop antenna, but there isn't a control switch on the ceiling, and I don't get a good signal on any channel. The radio works well, so maybe I have a radio antenna and not a TV one? What do you think?

I found the booster button, but there isn't a control switch on the ceiling. I'm wondering if it's missing or what I see is a radio antenna instead.

Looking at pics of your TT online, I did not see any antenna crank as I showed in my post above. What I DID see is a tablet-type control mounted on the angled wall near the TV. Do you have a tablet to control stuff? If so, you may have some kind of motorized antenna that you have to control with the tablet. Some antenna's are "omni-directional," meaning they don't need to be turned. So if you have tablet control, it may just raise/lower the antenna, or it may also rotate the antenna.

I'm at the extent of my knowledge. I guess someone else with your model TT is going to have to help you.

A picture of the antenna would help us with your question.

Looks like another customer that got a lousy PDI from the dealer.

Your Vibe has some type of tv antenna.
Why not call your dealer since they should have gone over this with you.

no reception

I have a 2016 268RKS and if you have the same "omni" antenna there is no adjustments up or down or side to side. It's basically a piece of junk with lousy reception. I replaced it with a Winegard Rayzar Automatic RZ-8535 Fully Automatic RV Antenna*. At campgrounds that I used to only get 2 or 3 channels I now get 15. That omni is omni worthless!

I’m guessing I’m having the same issues. I’ve tried everything and it doesn’t pick up anything.

It seems to me with all the omni direction antennas coming out on the new RV's, the designers don't get far from the cities much, if at all.

The digital tv signal are more susceptible to interference from trees, hills, high voltage power lines, etc than what analog signals were.
