You probably have some debris across the sensors giving a false reading. You need to clean the tank. You can use a cleaning wand which you insert into the toilet opening, a Flush King which allows you to backflush the tank from the discharge opening, or a Quickie Flush which is a device that permanently mounts to your tank.

Yes - that should be the same as a Quickie or Tornado flush. Connect a water hose to it and let it run for a few minutes. That should take care of it. I use a clear elbow on the sewer connection so I can see when the water is running clear. Please do not use the same hose you use for your water connection. If that does not get the indicator back to reading empty you can try filling the tank to about 3/4 full and dump a bunch of ice and drive around a while. The ice will rub any buildup off the sides of the tank. Good luck!

backin15 posted some good info there.

you could also fill the tank with water and let stand for atleast a few hours to try and soften up what is stuck on the sensor and then drain the tank and then flush with the wand.

We use the installed black tank flusher after EVERY dump, whenever there is a water source available. I just assumed that everyone did that .

Try a search on horst probes. I replaced the stock probes with them and they work great. No more "hangers" on the probes.
