Camping World air vent cover

We realize that we need to get an air vent cover and wondered if anyone has used the one made by Camping World. Does the type/brand make that much difference? This model made by Camping World has vents on the sides as well as the back so looks to have better air flow. Any thoughts?

Note: Not recommended for use with fan vents.

They say not recommended, but many many people on this forum have installed them with no adverse effects...I am sure some of them will chime in...I am planning on installing the MaxAire vents on ours this summer.

Yeah, I have to admit I was confused when I say that notation (not for fan vents) on a fan vent cover. Isn't that what they are made for...fan vent covers??

We got the ones from Camco on Amazon (1/2 the price) work perfect for us - open or closed on or off the road!

Thanks for the responses. I also noticed that the Camping World brand says it doesn't work with Fantastic Fans - which is the kind we have. blingo, do you remember what brand you installed? And, did you attach it to the vent or drill into the roof? - thanks!

I got a regular vent cover. fan in bathroom has cover. Mine is for regular vent over BR. It attached to flange surrounding vent on roof with small screws, nuts, bolts. Easy to install and has been very useful. Can leave vent open during rain and travel.

Thanks for the responses. We ended up getting a MaxAir from Camping World and will, hopefully, install it this weekend. I'll report back regarding our success/failure.

Don't forget to get a tube of caulking (I used the self leveling stuff) as you'll need to scrape off a little of what's there to mount the tabs that the MaxAir pops on to. At least, I had too on my Roo.
