Older DVD players don't have HDMI. You will only find those on Blu-ray and newer DVD's players that support upscaling.

The important thing is if you hook the DVD player directly to the TV for both video and audio it will use your TV speakers. HDMI will do it in one cable. For the component video you will need two cables. One for the video in (blue/green/red) and one for the audio in (red/white). You would then select the component video or HDMI port on your TV to use for the input. This is assuming you use a separate DVD player and not the one built into your RV sound system.

Thanks again all. Looks like the Jensen AWM 965 does not have ability to connect an HDMI cable anywhere. Or the ability to use the green, red and blue rca connections.

You're right, just use the HDMI cable and my Dvd Player with the television speakers. I will get over it. Just that all that's available In the AWM 965 is not able to be used. Just a bit disappointing.

I'm done whining, thanks again all.

The Jensen has RCA "pigtails" behind it. Easy to pull the Jensen out. Front faceplate ring is a "press fit". Behind it are probably 4 screws holding it to the cabinet. Remove the 4 screws and pull unit out. There will be a mess of wires back there (most installers are not neat). Each "pigtail" or group of inputs and outputs will be labeled. Aux 1 and Aux 2 should be a group of a red & white audio and a yellow video RCA connectors. Run an RCA cable from the AUX 1 to the AUX 1 or 2 INPUTS behind your tv. Put in a DVD and select either AUX 1 or 2 (depending on which you hooked your cable to on the back of the tv and enjoy the show.

r racer 5,

Got your message and appreciate it. I have had the unit out and you're right, it's a mess back there.

Next time I have my rv out, I'll give it a try and and let you know. Sounds logical. Perhaps I can clean up some of the mess and utilize some wire ties.

I'll give it a shot, thanks again,

Jim
