vcross vibe 6502 'in wall' slide out weather proofing

I saw an old post regarding the 'in wall' slide out on the 6502. Someone with this model mentioned it leaking. I have this unit and was wondering if anyone has performed any modifications to a similar 'in wall' slide out. My concerns being the interior 'wiper seal'. It appears buckled in a few places as the trimming of the seal around the rollers is poor. Has anyone trimmed this to allow a better fit and had success? Also I noticed that the bottom of the slide out does not appear to have much weather proofing. I was considering adding rubberized under coating in hopes of reducing the potential for moisture. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated!! I have added an interior and exterior pic of the slide out to reference. Thank you
