Ok noob here, but all of this looks Greek to me. Can someone do a battery disconnect for dummies. Like put the parts needed and a walk through step by step?

You buy a inexpensive disconnect switch with a green knob, at Walmart. Costs around $6. It'll replace one of the battery's terminals.
Takes about 5 minutes.

Wire from battery goes to switch, other wire from switch go to distribution block or camper. Look at my pics.

This isn't quite step-by-step, but gives the idea:

Without spending a cent you can simply remove the wing nut securing the wire or wires to the negative battery terminal.

That will totally remove your battery from the system

Or you can buy a battery disconnect switch like this one:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Car-RV-Mari...item3616efb3e7

Mount it near you battery and then get a short battery cable at the parts house that will run to one side of the switch and to the Positive battery terminal.

FIRST, disconnect your negative battery cable, THEN the positive.

Connect the positive side cables you just removed to one of the terminals on the disconnect switch.

Install the cable you just bought to the other terminal of the disconnect switch and then to the battery positive terminal.

LAST, Reconnect your negative battery cable. Done

Turn the switch to see green to have the battery connected, turn it to red to have it disconnected,

NEVER install this in the negative side of the system.
