The V-Crosses are no longer made, but the Vibe evolved out of that line. If you own a Vibe, post to the Vibe/V-Cross subforum. If you own a V-Cross, post to the Vibe/V-Cross subforum.

We try to keep our subforums to a minimum to avoid confusion, and that combo just seemed like the best way to do that.
Good morning MtnGuy!

Thanks for the response. And I would normally agree with you completely, if the V-cross and the Vibe shared any common component or design. They are dramatically different RVs now. Further, Forest River has now made the Vibe it's own completely isolated model with a submodel called the Vibe Extreme Lite. Its very confusing to come to this forum and filter through V-Cross threads with V-Cross issues and Model designations to find anything relivent to the current Vibe.

My suggestions would be to have a Vibe / Vibe Extreme Lite room as well as a V-Cross room.

I really would understand if the Vibe were simply a newer model of the V-Cross, but as it's a completely different line of RV wouldn't it make sense to have a separate room so owners could feel as if all our topics are relivent to the same RV?

It would almost be like the Ford F150 forum combining the 2015 F150 room with the 2001 F150 room simply because it is the evolution of the same truck even though they are completely different in every conceivable way.

We leave it in your capable hands

Understood.

If it is decided that the Vibe would be seperated from the V-Cross, it would just be Vibe. The Extreme Lite would fall under the Vibe subforum, just like the Classic Super Lites, Super Lites, Micro Lites, and V-Lites all fall under the Flagstaff subforum.

The site team will consider that.

It would make sense to divide the F150s up to body design years in an F150 forum, but not in a Ford Truck forum where all models could be discussed from the Ranger on up. In that case, it would be more practical to just have a Ranger subforum, an F150 subforum, a F250 subforum, etc.

Now that is scary.

In the beginning, along about 2008 or 2009 came the V-Cross Super Light. It stayed that way until model year 2012. In model year 2012, the Super Lite branched out to the Classic, Platinum, and Vibe. From 2012 to 2015 model years, the Vibe was listed as “Vibe by V-Cross” (see attached snap shot from the 2012 Vibe page.....the 2013 thru 2015s are similar). In model year 2016 (current), the V-Cross was no longer listed on the Forest river website, and the Vibe has Forest River listed on its webpage.

It does look like the Vibe went from a v-front living area, to just a v-shaped cap that encompasses the battery and propane tanks without being part of the living area.

I am glad to see the moderator considering a separate Vibe category. I agree the Vibe and extreme lite should be grouped together. The Vibe is no longer a V nose trailer. It is a typical travel trailer by design with a unique front cap. The V cross, windjammer, and the other V nose trailer should all be in a V-nose trailer category, since they have their own unique things and discussions. I understand the Vibe is a big bet for FR and big seller now... hence adding a second line to the Vibe line up. It would only make sense that it would have its own forum. Also since it is a new line so to speak, it would be great to have a place.to go and talk without sifting through some old V nose posts.

Agreed on all your points. Furthermore, not only did the Vibe lose the front living space, but the Extreme Lite version doesn't even have the V shap to the front. Its a very traditional flat slope. Forest River Vibe has about 2 new models that were just released in the past 15 days and have created a lineup with about 6 different floor plans as well as the Vibe Extreme Lite which has 4. So a combined total of around 10 models under the new Vibe (brand and Logo) would make it a great forum.

If you elect to create the forum, perhaps there is a way to move all the current Vibe related topics to that forum, as to prevent duplicate threads.

Thanks again!

Forest River really got confused for a while with battery placement. First it was in a box in the front pass through storage on the right, then they moved it to the front AFrame (where no box could fit, so the battery was fully exposed) now I think it's back in the storage again.

I rigged a box to fit up front along with a battery shut off switch.

OH MAN...so glad I stumbled upon this thread. I just picked up a used 2015 Vibe 272BHS. My Reese dual cam WD hitch won't fit the trailer so pulled it home with out it... man did that suck! So in the market now for the Equal-I-Zer WD hitch. So far best value comes out of Canada, with exchange rate (since I can go pick it up) I'm looking at under $500. Have not found any issues as of yet, since we've only had it a week. Heat is awesome, that's for sure!
