179 or 180

After much discussion my wife and I have decided not to go with the mini lite's and decided to go with an r-pod. After looking at the r-pod we have come down to two models to choose between. Any thought here on what may be the better model? The 179 or the 180. We love the storage of the 179 but we also like the rear bath of the 180. Are there any other issues or reasons why we should pick one over the other? Any help would be appreciated.

Given the small differences in weight carrying everything else is almost equal. My take would be the livability of the 180 over 179 when not at a campground with facilities. I don't have an Rpod JMHO

179 but I'm partial. Also the bathroom is for at 3:00am, pouring rain and you got to go!

My buddy has a 179 that I've used quite a bit. If it comes down to the 179 or 180, I'd say go with the 179, for one main reason - Counter Space. It's nice to be able to have space to set food for preparation, or the clean dish rack, or just tabletop storage while you're at a campsite, and still have a place to sit and eat (if, for whatever reason, you can't or don't want to eat outside). The full bathroom that the 180 offers is very nice, and an attractive option over the wet bath of the 179. But, like I said, if it comes down to these two units, I'd suggest the 179.

There is also the Rockwood Geo Pro / Flagstaff e-Pro, which is only slightly larger than the r-pod but its shape offers more interior space and the coach is generally better equipped. It's in between the r-pod and mini lite in size, closer to the r-pod.

I just recently purchased a Geo Pro 19FBS and absolutely love it.

I'd probably go with the 179, as the bathroom is less important to me than the dinette and kitchen area.

X2. You'll use the rest of the camper more than you'll use the bathroom

Watch out for the lack of underneath storage in the 179. Thatís why we got the 178.
