Air conditioner options???

I am close to purchasing an rood at a local dealer but I noticed they all have the slide (old style) thermostats and air conditioners with dials directly on the unit (like a window air conditioner).

Every other r-pod i see online or on the company website has the dometic digital thermostat and the air conditioner looks very different (no dials).

I see nothing about different options for air conditioning or climate controls. Anyone have any thoughts? This place sells a lot of r-pods and none of them have the AC or thermostat I see online and everywhere else. These are all 2015 models.

The digital controls have been on all models for years, and the dial controls right on the A/C were only used in the first model year (2009).

It's possible that's an option that your local dealer doesn't order. If you really want it, ask your dealer if he'll do a custom order for you and see if you can get that option picked.

If he's giving you a break by buying off the lot, I'd probably just go with one that has basic wall mounted thermostat (i.e. not directly on the unit) and then swap it with a programmable one from Lowes or Home Depot or something. I believe most are compatible unless you're starting with the Dometic digital one.

I'll add I responded with more info on the Owner's forum. Bottom line, I would be very suspicious of that dealer.
