Awning Question

Rpod 182 G
We are interested in feedback regarding awnings before we make a purchase.
Thank you

If you are talking about slide out awnings, by all means order them from the factory. As for the main awning, it is, IMO, mandatory. The new electric awnings work great with awning poles you would need to add.

X2. And its quite a bit cheaper to order the slide out awnings instead of having the dealer add them.

Wouldn't live without them - keep your place cooler and drier. The main also adds a bit of privacy.....

I'm assuming you're referring to the Rdome? We used ours a few times. Loved it. We rolled up the sides and front through the day... At night or in inclement weather, we dropped the sides and had a nice enclosed outdoor space. Only had the Rpod 1 season before trading up, so can't add much on longevity.
Loved our 182G... We did get a little tired of giving so many tours. "How cute. Can we take a peek?" We were a big hit tailgating at Penn State games. Lol.

I searched "Rpod 182 G awning" and only found what appear to be aftermarket manual awnings / screen rooms as far as main door side awnings go. I did see several photos of Rpods with a opposite door side slide out, and I personally would recommend a slide out cover it you have a slide.

Yes, but supposedly you can get better quality ones from the dealer. When I was at the Sabre factory, one of the workers asked where I got mine because they were definitely nicer than what they install.

Of course, I'm not sure if it's worth the extra expense. They weren't a factory option when I ordered my camper so it had to be a dealer add-on. And, I negotiated them into the price of the camper; I didn't spec/price them separately.

They are a nearly identical item. The R-Dome can enclose fully and has screen. The Pahaque version cannot close fully and has no screen.

Different type of awning. RDome's are more like a tent that attaches to the camper. No poles needed.
