Blowout winterizing

I started to buy a blowout plug until I read on the package to use an oilless compressor. Mine is not oilless. Does the fact that the plug was plastic have anything to do with it? What is the problem with the oil type compressor?

You might have an oil residue from your compressor in your fresh water line of your trailer, nothing to do with the plastic blow out plug.

Compressor oil in your water system, do you want it in there?
I would not.
You could place a filter between the tank and the trailer if it will remove the oil in the air.

Some compressors have an oiler that oil the tools it goes between the compressor and hose. If you have a compressor that operates with oil you won't get oil out of the air line.
