bought, pick up when snow is gone

Bought a new 179, dealer is keeping it in storage until middle of Mar. Also putting twin 30# propane tanks and an awning over the slide out. Downsizing from a M/H. Live in west central Idaho.

We are downsizing, to get back to camping and not just RV'ing. Am planning on TV a 2006 Jeep Liberty 4X4 automatic, with tow package. With the M/H some campground spaces were just too small. And I got tired of the 8mpg.

We did two

We downsized from a 33 foot Coachmen Chaparral to a Flagstaff 26 FKWS and love both trailers but appreciate the smaller more efficient foot print of the 26 FKWS. Its great your dealer is storing you trailer but it would be even better if your warrantee didn't kick in until it left his lot. Your dealer can be your best friend with trailer issues during the warrantee period but after its over his hands are more or less tied. If he won't extend your warrantee then live in your trailer and try everything out during the warrantee period so all deficiencies get identified and fixed, then you will be a happy camper!

We traded in our Georgetown and picked up our Forester in Chicago last December and drove it down to Missouri. After getting it loaded up, we headed to South Carolina for Christmas. Long story short, we had many, many warranty issues that were finally all resolved by October. None of the issues was with the Ford chassis -- all were in the RV itself. So, if at all possible, start using it immediately! Just because something isn't right doesn't mean it'll be fixed right away -- particularly if you have many electronics.

We also bought a new Sanibel last week and the dealer is storing it for us until spring, it pains us greatly to leave it there.

bought, pick up when snow is gone

The snow is gone, have had the 179 at the house for two weeks. Made one weekend trail run, all seems to be working. On the 31st, we will be leaving for a month long trip, to see friends and family and to really give her a good shake down. Should put about 2500 miles on the Pod, a little bit more on the Liberty.
