Canadian rpod recall

Transport Canada has issued a recall on 2009, 2010 and 2011 RPods

The recall is for insufficient clearance lights.

Thinking about clearance lights etc. before we went on an extended vacation I got some DOT approved reflective tape at an auto supply store and cut it in half. that is, separated the red from the white. I attached white to the wheel fenders on the front side and red on the back side of the fenders. That way anyone approaching at night will see how wide the trailer really is.
Also put a strip of red over the back lights (looks like they have eyebrows) and white strips on the front of the R-pod about 30 inches up from the ground... just to give some reflectivity on the front... perhaps useful when parked and unhitched.
This does not answer the Canadian Govt. requirement but does make the R-pod more visable at night.

Forest river lost their petition to the DOT. They have to recall the RPods without clearance lights!
