Cold weather camping

We're going to the Grand Canyon in March. The average low temperature at the time we're going is 25 degrees ( which of course means it could be much colder.) Does anyone have experience (good or bad) with holding tank heater pads? If you liked them, who installed them, and about how much did you pay?

What kind of a unit do you have? A lot of the FR models have them as standard equipment. Our 2012 Rockwood came from the factory with tank heaters already installed. We've only had a couple of ocassions to use them, last fall coming home from Texas, but they worked well. Bigger concern is your freshwater hose freezing.

I have an R-Pod 182g. I understand that there is an "Arctic Pack" that is available (I don't think I have it) and I don't know if that is available aftermarket.

Can you leave the water and drain systems drained and winterized? You've got nice fittings in there, somethin may give.. Use the CG facilities. The tank heaters (mats) go under the tanks, big problem to fit them now

The undersides for the tanks are exposed. Is the difficulty in getting wired into the breaker box?
