First trip

Made our first camping trip to Florida in January. The Pod work great and we are extremely happy with RDome screen room. The.177 towed like a stem although like most RV'rs I would like to get better mileage. Love the Pod!

Welcome to the forum. Glad you like both the RPod and the RDome and your 1st trip went well. I give alot of credit to the designers of the RPod for coming up with a sleek unit that has alot built into the interior.

Welcome to the forum!
Glad to hear the trip' as a success!
Don't suppose you have pics to post!?

Yep fuel mileage is always a down fall when towing!
But a small price to pay for such a great time!

Hey, did you have any issues towing with mini van? And how was your gas mileage? We are considering an R-Pod but first need to decide whether to upgrade our van with towing package, etc. or replace it. Thanks, Tor, Overland Park, KS

Hi tor, sorry I never got any further, I decided teh RPOD was too narrow. I quite liked it but with the wheel being external it has made the interior narrower and I'm too tall to lie down etc... consequently I have not progressed. Probably won't look at this until next year, sorry I can't advise you regards Antone

Wow. Love that screen room. Doubles the size of your rig and fresh air!
Does it do a really good job of keeping bugs out? I would probably opt to sleep in the screen room often. Growing up we had a screen room on our house, I slept there often. Even when I lived in a flat in the "City", I slept on my terrace.
