R-pod 179
I have an R-pod 182 and am in my fourth summer with it. The mods I have made are extensive but easy to do. First, cut the plywood over the mechanical's in half so you don't have to remove all of the cushions to access. Secondly, replace all of the lamps with LED lamps. Thirdly, replace the scissor jacks with heavy duty ones: they will stabilize your unit much better. Make or buy a cover for the stove to increase counter surface.
Necessary items:
1. pressure gauge/reducer for water supply.
2. 50' of water hose minimum.
3. wheel chocks to keep trailer from moving when disconnecting from TV.
4. As has previously been mentioned, a voltage monitor at the power tower.
5. Additional undercarriage tubes to hold sewer lines. I have five.
6. Add an electric tongue jack. It's worth its weight in gold!
7. Buy a kit for your tongue connections that use only one key for the tongue
lock, trailer security and hitch.
8. 50' coax cable for TV connections.
9. A stepped lift to help in leveling the trailer.
Hope this helps.
