Miscellaneous items supplied with a new Rpod ...

Next Tuesday we pick up our new Rpod-180.
The dealer removed some items to keep them from being taken by customers looking at them. The TV was not in there, awning rod, etc. I note in some videos on YouTube that apparently some other items are supplied by Forest River. What should I expect when we pick up our Rpod?????

Sounds strange to me. Once you compile your list of what you should have, do not sign anything until you have it. Do not accept we will get it for you and install it later.

Some dealers (OK most of them) will include a "starter kit" - don't confuse that with the various cranks, handles, pillows, remote controls and so on that came from the factory. The 30 amp cord is factory supplied.

The starter kit may include sewer hose, fresh water hose, toilet paper, tank treatment.

Will likely not include chocks, leveler blocks and that sort of stuff.

At my local dealer, a lot of accessories, paperwork, even sewer end cap, etc were not in the Rpod 180 that we decided to purchase. We will pick it up Tuesday. My thinking is the dealer removed them to keep them from being pilfered. Just to make sure we get everything that is supposed to be in there I have been compiling a checklist.

So far this is an updated list of accessories that I need to check for. Any thing else missing????

Accessories:
  • 24” LED Television, cables, paperwork, etc.
  • TV swing arm strap
  • Jensen entertainment accessories
  • Remotes – TV and Jensen
  • Hot Water Heater rod
  • Awning Crank handle
  • Awning Stakes and brackets for the Awning Crank Handle Storage.
  • Stablizer Crank handle
  • Spare Tire mounted on rear
  • Spare Tire Cover
  • Toilet Paper Holder
  • Manuals: generalized manual from Forest River that is in your information packet. There should also be separate manuals for the appliances, ie microwave, fridge, water, heater, furnace, converter, etc.
  • Warrantee information
  • Paperwork on each item accessory
  • Bedspread
  • Pillows
  • 30Amp Electrical Cord
  • Sewer End Caps
  • Fire Extinguisher
  • LP Detector
  • Smoke Detector
  • CO Detector
  • Safety Chains and Break away cable
  • Dual Battery Rack
  • Collapsible Clothes Hanger
  • TV Antenna
  • LP Quick Disconnect
  • Keys to everything
  • Title

Bike Carrier, 2 place bike rack – anyone know how much this costs???

Hang it off the rear of our Rpod 180.
The Rpod brochure has a 2-bike rack as an option.
Store the spare tire in our SUV or inside the Rpod.

EDIT: Then again, further reading folks say that bicycle bounce
makes towing less enjoyable. Maybe I should go with a Dual Hitch Extender like this and position the bicycles over the A-frame:

Ask for the "as built" equipment list from the manufacturer and be sure everything listed is actually there.

There are manuals for the appliances but not for the pod itself. No pillows unless you're talking about seating area cushions. Doubtful there is a toilet paper holder. Look for all the drawers, flaps, etc in the fridge. Please join the RPod Owners Forum on Facebook. It's a fabulous resource and there are files on everything! Congrats and happy podding!

Bike racks for the rear (1-1/4") receiver hitch (where the spare is mounted) can be purchased at many places. Throw the spare in the back of the truck.
Our Rpod 180 was missing refrigerator door shelves (as we just discovered on our maiden outing which is where we are as I type).
We got all the appliance manuals but had to request the Rpod UM from Forest River. It's "in the mail".
We ordered our sewer hose and "slinky" online.
