New 182G owners thinking of Solar upgrade

Help - anyone upgraded to solar? We know NOTHING! Sound familiar? We haven't even gone out yet, first trip coming up, short trip to White Mountains to visit family, dry camping but we've tested for leaks already and found them (thanks to you members). We will probably want some more info on cost and difficulty, where to by etc. Our dealer was and is a pain in the butt! Should have looked elsewhere to buy. Guess that's what living in the 'country' gets you. Its a 2 hour drive for what they call service so we're looking elsewhere for help! They are no help and know even less about the Pod! The forums have been so much info and hubby, being the genius that he is, can pretty much figure out and fix anything. So any info you can give us or point us in the proper direction would be appreciated. He'll understand what I print out for him, to me it's gibberish! Can't wait to become an official PodPerson!
