Rdome Issue

Have a new 179 Rpod and Rdome. On Rdome, rubber on tubing that connects to C channel softens in sun, loses rigidity and comes out of C channel every day. Came back from beach and complete awning had collapsed. Any ideas how to fix? I've never had an $800 tent not live to expectations. Doesn't help that the suction cups on sides often lift off, causing more torqueing on dome.

You'll need to replace the suction cups that came with it with betters ones. You can find some great replacements actually at Walmart or Lowes. I believe the brand is Interdesign Power Lock. Mine won't pull off in a big storm.

As far as the dome sliding out of the track you'll need to crimp the C-Channel some at the parts that it is slipping. It's just a bit big at those points. Some vice grips and a towel so that you don't scratch the channel and just close the C a bit so that it won't slide out anymore.
