Tomscat, totally understand.
i worked a few years, for logging truck companies, as a tire buster and lube/oil man.
i got lots of diesel baths changing out the fuel filters, especially running down my arms into my armpits.
took a lot of showers getting rid of the odor.

I used to put mine in the door of my pop up- after all was just empty space while traveling.
