RPOD 179 between 2015 and 2017

So i have the option of purchasing a 2015 for $10k and 2017 for $15k. Due to the huge difference in price, I'm leaning towards the 2015 of course but was wondering what difference in features they have between 2017 and 2015 that I wouldn't be able to live without. Please chime in your thoughts.

Thanks you!

I do not own one but if I'm right, the 2017 has a real awning instead of the optional r-dome which is a pita from what I hear.

2014 Stealth Evo 2850- "Woodstock"
2011 Toyota Tundra Rock Crawler TRD 5.7- "Clifford"
2013 Honda Accord Coupe V6 w/Track Pack- "Julia"

Just glad to get away

Besides the Thule Awning, the 2017 has many little upgrades that Forest River added as a result of owner feedback. The bathroom has a much better seal to prevent the water leaking problems of the earlier models. I was buying a 2016 but when I found out about the 2017 upgrades I had to go with the 2017 model. It's worth the extra money by far!

Used and less used J/K. We just purchased a 2018. Forest River upgrades with each 1/2 model year. So newer will have better standard equipment and options. Also you are at the mercy of the former owners maintenance and negligence. We did not pay that much more than the price tag you quoted on the 2017.
