Rpod 180

Just looking for thoughts on this unit, want something just to get out and see the country, simple in and out of camping spots. However presently own a 2016 Rockwood Windjammer so giving up a lot, but the Windjammer is so just too much to run the country with. Thoughts?

FWIW: If I were going to downsize like you, I'd go with the 180. All the others have wet baths, which I loathe. Also don't have to mess with the bed, since it has a separate dinette.

How do you like your unit? Maybe the Rpod is going too small. Thanks.

We're quite happy with it. It doesn't have a lot of open floor space, but the bathroom is HUGE. That's what sold my wife when we bought it. We just went to the local RV show last night and the DW said she wouldn't give up her big bathroom for any of the TT's we saw.

You don't say what you're going to be pulling with, or where you want to go. The Rpod would certainly be easier to pull, and would fit in a lot more places.

Well I have plenty of truck to pull it, Ram 2500. As for where we will pull it, which ever way the truck wants to go that is why I am wanting to downsize a bit. Pulling the Windjammer all over the country is just too much trailer. Do you have a murphy bed?

Rpods don't have Murphy beds.

jblane56...

we have a 2304KS with the Murphy bed and love it (the bed and the trailer)...it has a decent size bathroom and lots of storage for the two of us. Easy to pull with our F150 5.0l.

Yes, I have a Murphy bed.

You haven't said how big your Windjammer is, so I'm not sure how much downsizing you'd do if you went with a 2503S. Mine is 25' 10-1/2" ball to bumper.

The 2304KS would a couple feet shorter, but has a smaller bathroom and a little less counter space, and a standard dinette instead of a U-dinette. We were torn between them, but the DW fell for the big bathroom and I liked the U-dinette.

Of course, we're all different. You'll have to decide what's important to you.
