Smile Rpoders

Looks like we're the first here.

Well in the RPod forum I mean. Hope to see more podders here soon.
We'll be getting our 2011 177 in may. Traded our tent trailer in for it, we found that it was just as bad as tenting almost.

welcome to the forum. Went to rv show last weekend and seen a few of them. Pretty well contained for small units. Good luck with it!

For us too we had a flafstaff tent trailer and it was a big mistake to buy this type of trailer. Verysimilar to a tent but sleeping over ground and all the items inside are located too low like the fridg etc. Lots of work and lost time to set up and fold specially in the rain. We bought a new 2011 mini lite 1809s and now what a difference with a real washroom etc. A bit more heavy to pull but what a difference it make.

Went to an RV show in Reno and came away with an RPOD 182G. Still trying to figure out the minimum generator I can use as well as sewer drain stuff and the rest. I am a new RV guy and can use all the help I can get.

a Honda/Yamaha 2000 will run everything and maybe the a/c. need to know the btus of it. if it's under 13.5k, the 2000 will probably run it.
if it's a 13.5k, then it probably won't, especially at altitude.
i would then recommend a Yamaha 2400, which works with most newer 13.5k a/c's.

You'll need a 2400 or equivalent. Or a hard-start capacitor added to the AC. We got a Hyandai 2000, but it will push 2200 watts. Enough to use the AC. The honda and yamaha 2000 max out a 2000 watts. I read on RPod owners or RPod nation the hard-start capacitor was under $100 but he installed it himself

Hi,

We just purchased a 182g and can't wait for good weather to take our first trip.

Q. Can you get your tv sound through the built in speakers with the RCA connections? I couldn't figure it out today. Thanks.
