It is tall inside so I bought a little three step folding step stool I will keep under the bed in case I need to reach the roof inside the trailer to adjust vents and things like that.

Yes, I was looking at the new Weekend Warrior 28w and have planned to go down this next month, but after seeing this model and the price difference, I could not see paying another truck payment also. 2015 Ram 2500 Laramie Cummings. The WW 28w is a very nice model.

I did not try the heater this weekend as the temp outside was in the sixties but I did play around with the radio. My phone connected to the radio and I was able to make a phone call and walk around the trailer with my phone on the table. I also was able to play pandora on my phone through the trailer radio.

I'm trying to pull the trigger on one by the end of the month finally. Not sure on getting the double slide or the single bed slide. I like the single better. Any updates you can report on with your trailer?

Not much to update. I still love it. For me I think the single slide gave me enough room. With the double slide it cut into the room for my toy as between the cupboard and slide wall was only five feet. I did replace the mattress on the bed. I layed on it and it moved kind of like jello for a few. It might just be because I have memory foam in the house. I picked up a memory foam off of amazon for 250. It's better. I am going to get a rug or something for when I use the back hatch as a deck. The black gets pretty hot in the sun. Good luck with pulling the trigger. Hope you get a good deal. I have a for sure camp date in July at stampede reservoir but trying to get out sooner also. Vacation time at work has been hard to get. The other day it was nice out I was out outing something in it and had the back hatch open. Sat for a bit to relax and it was so nice I almost nodded off. Lol. If you can and haven't already look at one with the slide and without. Maybe that will help with your choice.

Thanks for the reply. My wife and I are excited. I will, I think take the single slide. All post if, when we get it. Wife says same for bed mattres. Have you used heater in yours? Fair weather you don't think about it, did you get any colder weather to turn on?

It hasn't been real cold and no I haven't used it yet. Haven't used the air either. Did run all the other systems through.

I will say with it being warm the roof vent cover have sure been nice. I have kept a couple cracked open so it didn't get that hot in there and it's been nice not to have to run out when the wind and or rain kick in. That was money well spent.

I love my Sandstorm. Chose the double slide for extra room. My Teryx SxS fits perfectly and it is a wide machine. Tow mine with a 2016 2500 Cummins using a Anderson hitch and tows like a dream. I've put about 2,000 miles on her so far and no complaints! BTW what demand water heater do you all have installed?

Mine has the Atwood on demand water heater. Wish it had a tank though. Did the recall on the Atwood but still have had to go out side and reset it a couple times.

I have a Girard as well. One you learn that you only use the hot water nob to control the temp it works very good. Pluses you need good voltage.

Hi rtaverne, do you have any problems towing your Sandstorm with the short bed?

I know this thread is a little old, but I hope it has a little life left in it. I will be purchasing a Sandstorm F286GSLR in a month, and can't wait. I'm deciding on a hitch for my short bed 2500HD. I'm considering the B&W Companion non-slider, which is capable of a 5" setback if necessary. Based on your Anderson, do you think the B&W would work for me? I'm going to go next week and do some measuring. Thanks
