dretired, is your fresh water fill up a gravity fed or a pressure type where you have to screw the garden hose to it?

I had the same thought. I just looked at a Crusader brochure and it shows a gravity feed.

Gravity feed from what i can tell ...the city water connection has threads for pressure..How would i add extra water to the tank if i am staying at a park where i need to carry water jugs then pour it in ??... Very poor pdi and not a bit of quality inspection going on at Prime Time...

It's a gravity fed tank.
While at the factory they showed us the measures they go through to test the water lines and tanks, plus my dealer filled and tested it as well, so no issues here.

You might take off the basement wall panel (pretty easy) to access the area behind the universal docking center. The problem might be obvious and easily corrected.
I hope so.

You have to fill the fw tank SLOWLY !

Look at the hole that the water goes into then look at the vent tube !

Takes at least 20 minutes to fill my 30+ gallon tank .

If you just crank on the hydrant I guaranty you it will spit back .
just slowly let it run in "TRUST ME"

You can add more water then air can escape so it burbs back .

I dont believe this to be a prime time issue.

Try it at the factory( quality inspection) and the dealer (PDI ) would be a much better idea...so...when you buy something... and you .. need it to work ..IT DOES !!

Since it is a gravity fed, most likely you have a kinked hose between inlet and tank. Maybe there is a check valve, but doubt it. A least you have an appointment tomorrow and not in a week or more.

No check valve.

Heres a thought .......

The tank is able to move side to side while traveling ?
If the tank moves towards the fill side could it pinch the inlet hose against the frame ?

The length of hose would be my guess, or a kinked air purge/overfill tube. Pretty easy fix. Pull off panel, check the feed and purge lines. If necessary, remove clamps from back of fill port, cut, re-install and zip tie to get to proper position if necessary.

Good you don't bet often....there is no check valve in a gravity feed fresh water tank fill.

Most likely is a kinked fill hose, and the dealer should have caught that if they did a thorough PDI.

Per PT, the problem lies with the vent tube. Quick, easy fix; RV Guy can explain...

I had the same thing happen to me. The hose was to long and they had routed it over the wheel well and back up the the tank fill. So water had to try to go up hill from the start. I took it off ran it along the floor and back up to the fill neck. Fills just like its supposed to now.
