To prevent battery from fully discharging, you need to either disconnect the negative lead to battery or install a battery disconnect. There is small current draw from the radio, LP/CO detector to name a few.

While the battery will discharge over a period of time due to parasitic loads, it shouldn't discharge fully overnight. It usually takes a few days to a couple of weeks for them to discharge.

It takes a pretty high draw device to completely discharge a battery overnight. Check to make sure all the lights, fans, radio, tv booster power supply, etc. are shut off. Also check the breakaway brake switch to make sure it isn't pulled. That will drain a battery pretty quickly.

We have made sure everything is off. Where is the breakaway brake swith located? I feel we are still missing something. Frustrated for sure!

You can find online many manuals for the equipment in the trailer. Get the manufacturer name and model numbed then do a Google search for a manual. I have a 27 RLSS but it is newer and most likely equipped differently.

What he meant is that you can find owners manual for your appliances for the trailer eg: your refrigerator, you stove, your water heater etc etc....

Yes, what Fonzie said. For example get the brand and model number for the fridge and search for that. Then the brand and model number of the stove and search that. Do the same for other equipment (A/C, water heated, furnace, etc.)

2008 Wildwood

I just love this forum. We have been having issues with the battery going dead. I have learned a lot from all of you. I have tried various idea's. From climate control on fridge (which was on and is now off) to making sure nothing is on. Ect...
But to no avail battery was dead again this am.
Does anyone know where are switch might be to turn off the draw from battery would be on my 2008 wildwood ? Any other ideas of what might be causing the battery to go dead?

Most likely not a switch. Remove the negative battery cable or get a switch that fits on the battery post.

As Woody said, unless someone added an after market disconnect, there's not one.

What I'd do is start removing fuses and see which one(s) spark. If you get a pretty good spark when either removing or replacing the fuse then that's probably your power draw. Figure out what that is and go from there.

Don't be fooled by a tiny spark because there are several items (LP detector, etc.) that are powered all the time, but they draw a tiny bit of current.

A 2008 Wildwood wouldn't have a factory battery disconnect switch unless a previous owner installed one.

Emerald,

Once you have collected all the makes and models, come back here and click "Library" near the top left of the page. It's likely that most of the manuals you need will be there.
