2012 Coachmen freedom express 230 bh body issues

I was wondering if anyone out there can point me in the right directiob on who to contact at forest river. I bought a 2012 Coachmen freedom express about a year and a half ago. Just affter owning it for a year (one year warranty expired) I started to notice three area ranging from six inchs to twelve inchs that were discolouring and fadeing. Within these faded areas there is now some small cracks. You can see bubbles and swirl marks from what looks to be patchs. Now the dealer I bought if from is over 1200km away and the closest dealer is aboit 150km from my house. I did contact them and sent them pictures of the area. They said that they said that the vacum sealed laminate walls should not have been patched at the factory and that the entire panels should be replaced. Now in my frustration I did show some interest in a newer trailer. The only way they will fix now is if I trade it in which would see me taking a massive loss on this trailer. Does anyone have any contacts at forest river that would be able to help me.

Not familiar - is it a TT or class C?

Look on their website. I think they list people to contact. Just Google Coachmen

It is a travel trailer. 23'. I did attempt a warranty claim and was contacted by the rep on that site. After our initial conversation he agreed that they could fix at the factory but I would have to bring it over 1200km one way to get it fixed. Since then he has not returned emails or phone call.

If you're beyond the warranty period and they will repair it at their cost if you get it to the factory, that's likely the best you can hope for. I wonder if you could get it towed to the factory on a return trip for one of the delivery trucks?

Not sure why it would even had patches at the factory in the first place. The dealer tells me that this should not have happened in the first place.

Anyone know of any other contacts at coachmen? I have been trying the rep on the above link and he doesn't call me back. So far coachmens customer sercice has sucked as no one will call or email me back.

Blew out another wheel bearing to this weekend. That makes four on that one wheel. Pretty sure the axles got damaged the day I picked up the trailer when the brake adjust fell off.

Steve Brandenburg is the guy for Freedom Express. He can take some time to return calls, often several days, but with persistence I have been able to get him on the line. Once on the line he has been helpful.

I would expect that the offer to fix at the factory is a one time deal - and I would do everything to make that happen.

Thanks for the info. I got ahold of Steve today. They have requested an estimate from a local coachmen dealer here to fix the body. Once they get that I guess they will decide were we go from there. I will keep you posted. Thanks again
