2014 Flagstaff 26RLWS cargo capacity

We have just bought a 2014 Flagstaff 26RLWS brand new. It is a beautifull trailer but we got a big surprise at the delivery. In the Flagstaff brochure, the cargo capacity for this model is listed at 1025 pounds. But the cargo capacity printed on the yellow tab sticked on the trailer is: 511 pounds less the weight of water you keep in the tanks. I have asked the dealer to explain me the difference between the information printed in the brochure and the one printed on the yellow tab. Still waiting for the answer, but I would like to know if I am the only one in this situation? We intend to do 2-3 month trip with this trailer and 500 pounds of cargo seems not realistic even if we keep the tanks dry.

Thanks for your help!

I hope we don't end up with the same problem as we are looking to get a 27RLWS. It will have less cargo capacity than the current 2013 Salem Cruise lite 221rbxl.

I would assume your trailer is well optioned. The brochure likely has a base weight. You start adding larger propane tanks and spare tires and awnings and optional counter tops and leafs etc. Then they weigh the actual trailer optioned out for the yellow sticker and it weighs more than the base trailer in the brochure.

2014 Flagstaff 26 WRLS cargo capacity

The trailer only has a mandatory option package (awning, microwave, spare tire) but no corian counter top, large TV or large LP gas tanks. I have seen many Flagstaff well optioned that advertise a cargo around 800-900 lbs but never at 511 lbs like mine. This is why I suspect an error. The figures I could get from other owners will give me a good hint my trailer is in the average.

Thanks for your comments!

Take it to a place and weigh it. Some truck stops have CAT scales or some mills or scrap yard might let u get ur weight.

That way u know for sure what ur trailer weighs and how much you have left to put on.

I have the same thing with a Rockwood 2703ws. My dry weight is 6467 lbs and 1171 cargo. The emerald package with corian countertop, three slide awnings and electric jacks all around reduced cargo capacity by 300 ilbs.

On the FR website, the cargo capacity of the 26rlws says 1508lbs.

Google the model number and then click on images and you can find yellow stickers. Her is an example of a dealer site. You can see a pic of the yellow sticker.

Good idea Canadiancrew! I will do that. I will also go to a public scale and have the real weight confirmed.

Thanks!

Not realy. I am still waiting for the answer of Forest Tiver representative. I should go to the scale next week. But I have followed the suggestion of Canadiancrew and got many pictures of the yellow sticker of a TT identical to mine including the options. I have not seen any 2014 or 2015 Flagstaff 26RLWS with a cargo capacity lower then 950 lbs. The GVWR is always identical to my TT (6690 lbs). The dealer told me that it is possible that Forest River always fill up the tanks for quality control and that they might have forgotten to empty the tanks before driving it on the scale. I will have the real weight next week.
