2015 Ford F250

I'm thinking of buying a 2015 Ford F250 with the 6.2L gas engine. I don't want the diesel. I will be towing a small 5th wheel which weighs in at about 8,000 pounds and has a pin weight of about 1,400. What kind of realistic gas mileage can I expect?

Not very good, I wouldn't expect better than 8 or 9 mpg

Nephew had similar setup with 250 gasser. He claimed 7-8 mpg but complained of lack of power on hill climbs. Just traded back to 2500 duramax.

If you're going to be pulling on flat, level ground and only occasionally, then the gasser is the way to go. But don't expect much more than 7-9 when your pulling your rig. Hilly country will net you somewhere between 5-8, depending on what kind of speed you want to maintain.

I finally got tired of having to deal with all the limitations of my gasser and went diesel. Now I can pull whatever, wherever I want and still get 10-12mpg

We have a 2014 flagstaff 8528bhws 8000 pounds dry. 1600 pin weight. I tow it with a 2913 ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi. I put a set if timbrins in the rear, and it tows beautiful we took it to Maine this past August had plenty of power even on long hills. I get between 8 when I'm pushing it and 10 when we are taking it easy. I take the 10 as a gift and am thrilled with 8. We had a TT at 5500 pounds and towed to Disney with an expedition 5.4 and got 6.2. I'll take the 8 any day.

I dont think so. The 4" square tubing is really thin and I was thinking that I would have my friend weld a 4' square tube to the I beam and weld the trailer hitch to that. I would have to remove the underpinning to do so. I don't feel really comfortable doing that on a brand new TT

The Soul weighs around #2800 curb, IMO there is no way the frame would handle it.

Yes, it is not a one piece beam and kinna frail.

One other thing, look at the states you plan on going to and check the law on towing doubles.
