My 6 month old RV is having AC problems. My RV has 2 AC units on it. One over the bedroom and one that works like a central AC unit. The main unit started freezing up. It will not blow cold air anymore. It ran fine for about 4 months. We only use the RV on weekends during the school year so we leave it on about 80 while we're gone just to keep things comfortable for when we do go down on weekends. I've been told 3 three things could cause it to stop blowing cold air and freeze up...1) out of freon...in which case there is a leak...2) dirty coils...coils look fine...it's only 6 months old...3) running it way too cold with all this humidity we're having in Texas...we never run it any cooler than 75...anybody got any other ideas? They wan't me to bring it in for warranty work but we pretty much live in it all summer (teachers)...would love to avoid having to drop it off at the dealership we bought it from and being at their mercy! thanks for any advice!

Call the Forest River warranty dept and see if they will pay for a tech to come to your site and look at it. If not then it may be worth it to you to pay out of pocket for an on site tech.

Mine did the same thing just this past week. I took it to them Monday got it back today but it was ready wen. Guess where it was warranty work they didn't want to come here we are set up for a month here before our beach trip. How ever he did tell me that they are having a lot of air conditioner problems the past little bit. But they changed it no questions asked. We have had ours 9 months
