2017 Rockwood 8327ss black tank falling out

Hello all. I puchased this unit from an owner who had it delivered to his lot and the only road time it has seen is from the delivery. After filling the fresh tank to boondock It fell through the underbelly. One support was missing and the one left in place was bent along with the forward cross brace. I wound up fabricating a stronger system but now I see the same thing has happened to my black tank. Have any of you run into this problem and were you able to get the company to do anything about it? I have contacted 2 dealers to try to purchase replacement straps and braces but they cant seem to get any information for me.

How handy are you? You could get some steel angle and build your own supports. Either bolt in or weld in. Even square tube would work for a cross brace.

Yes I welded the supports on the fresh tank and added a piece of plywood under the tank to keep it from bulging. It is sad that I have to spend time on my back to do this in the first place. I know its an ultra lite but I dont think this was a good place to save a pound or two in material. Has anyone modified their tank supports and have pictures of what ypu did?

Thanks for the info. Here are a few shots of what my black tank suppors look like at the moment. It is about half full and I need to drive about 5 miles to dump it. Wish me luck! I have a strap in place just in case

Well I'm thinking they are all just built like junk. I was in between the 8327 and an Open Range 312bh. I ended with the Open Range but it has had it's own issues. They didn't screw the underbelly screws into anything and the front underbelly fell down and filled with water when we got the 6-7 inches of rain. Sounds like they both have build quality issues to me. Looks like you guys have a nice fix for your bracing.
