The Miami trip coincides with the Nov 11 Mercury transit. Even though it will be easily seen anywhere along the east coast (with proper equipment), I plan on taking photos over the approximate 6 hour event and I'd prefer being warm while i do it.

You do realize that in July the temps out here in the southwest can be in the 110+ range every day...

You'll need a 50-amp RV with two AC units just to keep it comfortable inside.

This was the temp on my front porch last July...

And it was 160+ degrees inside my 5'ver that day with all the windows open and no AC running as I was unloading from a trip.

I’m hoping we can take a three month trip to Alaska. I would like to go to Washington DC for a few days. It would be great to go back to Bar Harbor ME. The only reservations will be the Fort

We usually don't plan out that far unless it is a special event (ie.- camping rally)...

Most of the time a week or two after we decide to go...we go!

We're reserved for 5 trips June to September, total of 38 days...all waterfront and 3 of the 5 trips have electric. Lake Ontario, St. Lawrence River and 2 Adirondack lakes. We'll make May, mid-September and October plans as we see how weather and health issues go. Best wishes to all for a great 2019 season (1999 sure doesn't seem like 20 years ago).

I drive a semi for a living, long hours and long days. Our plans for 2019 are only short weekends, maybe a couple one week journeys

That southwest trip sounds pretty good! I live 1 hour west of Orlando and I figured if I was going to do it, it would take me 8 days to get to Phoenix with just over night stops all the way there, and 8 days back from there. That's 16 days of travel which leave only 8 days to see the sights if I was only going for 24 days. I thought that planning a 6 week trip was more feasible for sight seeing.
