2608BS how to store free-standing table
Howdy folks. New here. Getting ready to pull the trigger on a 2608BS. I've been trying to find the answer to a question...
With the free-standing table and chairs, how do you store those for travel?
And as a side note, how sturdy are those? It looks like the chairs might be a little flimsy and the table ends that fold up might not be very level?
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. Check with the dealer some rigs come with travel straps and recommended way to stow the table.

Yes, this ^^^^^.
My trailer came with travel straps screwed to the slide-out floor. I strap down the table with one strap and the pair of chairs with the other strap. I DID change the location of one strap.

On ours the table was secured to the floor from factory. They had straps which went around the chair legs to hold them to the table.
We did not like getting down to secure/release strap. So we added the MORryde CB56-001H Chair Buddy. They hold the chairs firmly and with just a flip they are released or engaged.

X2
That's how ours is in our 8529IKBS.
While it's called 'free standing' the table is screwed to the floor (ours is in a slide) and the chairs strap to the table support. Nothing has ever moved.
Our table extension is not perfectly level with the table but pretty close.
We use it a lot!

Table and chairs
Our table is bolted to the floor, the extension comes up level (we use it a lot). The dealership has replaced two of the chairs noticed one was broken during our PDI, the other broke during our first trip. We use a pool noodle with a slit in it to keep the chairs from scraping against each other on travel days. Love this camper the bedroom is great and our dog likes the sofa we cover it with a sheet at night and she sleeps on it.

We have the 2015 version of the trailer you are considering; ours is the 2608WS. We have the free-standing chairs and like others have said, our table is screwed to the floor and a strap is used to hold the chairs to the table's center pedestal. What I don't like about the arrangement is that the chairs tend to rub and hit the table during transport so you could end up with some scarring and dents. I think I have read on this forum that some members have made covers for the chairs to protect them during travel.
