2650 Sunseeker problem

Trying to know everything we can do before replace the toilet. Before we winterize the RV, no problem with water in toilet. Now water keeps leaking out (slowly) not all the time, but most of the time. We first pulled out instruction and it said to tighten a screw at the base, didn't work!,then we cleaned around the thingie, didn't work. Now What??????
Thanks
Cindi
PS Merry Christmas,

Well no one seems to want to get their hands dirty with this question so...

A manufacture and model number would help for those who could give advice that don't have your exact model SS. Forest River may change the throne to something different anytime.

An old toothbrush, some cleaner, maybe some cotton swabs and have at cleaning around/under the seal. Hard water deposits, TP, and "stuff" can get jammed in between the ball and seal.

The ball might not be closing all the way either from deposits or weak spring.

A little veggie oil, or similar may help lube the seal.

put vegetable oil in the bowl, the seal gets dried out. add about a cup and operate the flusher valve a bunch of times with the water pump turned off. then add another cup or so and let it sit.
