Denver To Yuma In 90 Days

I'm actually gonna finally return to my new home in Yuma, AZ this weekend and move in over the 4th.
I bought the place back in May, had it all of three days and spent one night in it, then left on the six week final leg of my six month full time journey in my 5'ver!
I just left Denver this morning with the contents of my storage unit there stashed away in my 5th-wheel...
I've remove most of the furniture to make storage space, so on this trip I've dubbed my 5'ver 'The UHaul'!
Spending the night tonight in northern New Mexico...tomorrow night (maybe two nights) somewhere in Arizona, then one more day to get home!
Just in time for the 4th of July!

We were here 5 years ago and really loved it. We definitely won’t go into Geneva on the Lake for the fireworks this time, but we will have fun none the less.
I’m hoping my aunt and sister can join us for a bit.

We are headed to a National Forest Service campground (on a lake) Monday-Friday. It will be hot, but since we left tent camping & joined the TT ranks, it isn't as crucial anymore. This campground is fairly small, and generally very quiet. I just checked the website, and it isn't even full yet!

Here at a big park in Mantua Ohio for 3 months visiting family, so here for several holidays. Gets crazy every weekend, but during the week a ghost town. Happy 4th to all.

Yep, gotta get away this year. We usually don't travel on the 4th, at least with the RV due to needing 2 months or more reservations being needed and craziness in RV Parks.
We reserved Gulf Waters in Port Aransas, TX about, 2 months ahead of time. I love that park. Well kept, sites are privately owned and rules are enforced. Stopping over in San Antonio for a couple of nights to visit our son, then on to the beach, to visit our Daughter in Port A. Departing Saturday, 30th, returning Friday the 6th.

Leaving Friday after work for Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Probably really going to regret leaving at that time but that's what we got. Have to be at work on Thursday so we will be traveling back on the 4th. Guessing traffic won't be as bad on the return trip at least.

Since the holiday falls on a Wednesday I'm not sure which weekend we are considering the "holiday" weekend. This one or next one?
We'll be at our site both weekends, so I guess it doesn't really matter. Although I only get the actual holiday (4th) off of work. Still have to go in Mon, Tues, Thurs & Friday.
My wife took off the last half off the week so we can head go out on Wednesday night and watch the fireworks displays.

Thanks for sharing info on Gulf Waters in Port A. Only had a trailer for a year, so we’re always on the lookout for great parks. We are in Houston; DH is from Corpus originally. Shorter haul for us than from Lampasas, for sure!
Y’all be careful now, ya hear?

I've decided to park myself just outside of Holbrook, AZ for two nights on my way back home to Yuma.
Thinking maybe tomorrow I might just go stand on a corner in Winslow, Arizona...

We will be at Campland on the Bay in San Diego next week and renting a boat for a few days. It’s 30 minutes from home.
