We have a 2015 Sandpiper 35ROK. Is anyone else having problems blowing the 10 amp fuse? Actually having no problem blowing them. We seem to go through at least one every trip. Irritating but I've learned to deal with it but would love a solution. Dealer says to carry spare fuses----DUH
Tell your dealer that's a fix not a solution! Jump up to a 12.5 amp fuse maybe. I'm guessing this is just for the controller. The pump will have a much bigger fuse/breaker
Might try to see if it does it at one particular spot. Under the heavy load or max retract. Inspect the wiring for loose connection or bare or rub spot to make a short.
Depends on my day and how much had alcohol been consumed to just put a straight wire and burn it out to know. Have had to do with logging equipment cause it could and would make a dangerous work environment. We would have the dealer to okay if fired the computer. That only happened once to find the connector to it was bad the next week when they sent it to the shop.
Bringing mine in Friday for service. It is a low voltage problem that is causing the high amps that is blowing the fuse. Carrying extra fuses is not correcting the problem. I'm assuming you have a Lippert system? Power lines will need to be traced to find the source. Some have said a separate power supply to the control box will fix the issue. I'll keep ypu posted on what becomes of mine. DO NOT put a larger fuse in there, as you could damage the system and you will not be covered.
I've blown at least one fuse every time going out since I got the unit in October. Sierra rep tried telling me it was normal in cold weather...lol Slow jack retraction is normal in cold weather (below 40 degrees), NOT blowing fuses. Again, this info came right from the Lippert rep. It usually happens when hooking back up. Last trip to Florida it blew 2 fuses in 5 minutes. That's was the final straw...lol
Mine was blowing the pump fuses but it was when operating the slides. Same pump runs both. I Just put in a bigger fuse. No more issues. The leveling system however will completely turn off on me a couple of times in cold weather. Just turns off. Then I power it back on and go again.
I'm going to pick mine up today. Of course it didn't blow a fuse while it was there..lol I did have them relevel it as it was about 1" off. They seem to think this could have been causing the issue. Guess I'll find out shortly!
