I have one just inside the tailgate at the back towards the top. No pictures, apparently.
I had my hitch installed and I had the fellow add this plug-in at the same time.

I had a problem with my plug last week when we went to Georgia, on the way back in VA after stopping for gas the power cord must have rap itself or got hung up on the receiver of my truck and rip the wires out of the 1900 box that was on the camper, I had no lights or brakes and still about 3 hours of traveling to get home and this was around 10:30 pm. This was our first trip out with the camper since we pick it up on the 28th of December so if it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any at all and this is the first time I have had a 5 th wheel and I didn't know until a few days ago that I could have had a plug installed in the back of the truck. I was told to leave all of the access cable hanging on the out side of my tailgate, so now at $120.00 later and it was ready to be pick up today I think I may have one installed.

Thanks for the pic, so do they get wired into the harness or do they connect to the plug in the bumber and come up from the bottom of the bed to the inside?

The one I bought plugs into harness and you can use bumper plug or truck bed plug.

Kit cost about 95 and should be about 15 min job to install. Hopefully I won't drill right thru the outer fender

I have couple of theories and they are usually true:
1. It always takes longer than it takes.
2. It only costs a little bit more to do it yourself.
Good luck...

Bought harness from etrailer.com for about $75 and installed myself...very easy and you can't get it wrong, it'll save you a few bucks vs Dealer install

Rock, do you already have a 7 way plug installed on your truck? If no, there is more to it then connecting into existing 7 wire system. Your original question made me wonder if your are asking about moving it or installing from scratch.
My first tow vehicle had a 4 way plug and I had to have a seven way plug installed which meant, at least for me, that I had to have wiring added to include the brake controller and DC power...

Good point. For our Durango and pop-up, we had to go to a trailer shop and buy a brake controller and have them install it AND the seven pin harness. Costed about $300 if I recall correctly.

Yes it was factory installed along with a factory installed electric trailer braking system.

Ouch I'm in the wrong business.............. this stuff mush have really jumped in price. Been a while but the last on I did cost me way under $50 I know it matters type / make of truck as well....
Not saying it can't be done but it would be really hard to drill through the inner & outer bed unless you have a 60s truck...... Use a hole saw......
I look at it as never can have enough I have a flat four a 7 pin on the bumper & another in the bed.........
Everyone needs to know their limitations our dealer has a regular in for repairs he has backed into his trailer 2 times (fifth wheel) & unhooked it forgot to put down the landing gear & drove out from under it recently............ (thats just a couple of the stories on this guy hope he is not on here.......)

You will need a hole saw to make the hole on the inside wall of the bed, my last truck I put a plug on the end of the in bed plug to connect it into the bumper plug, worked great. When not needed unplug it and tuck it away under the truck.
